About the Role

Hypermonk Games is a fast-growing mobile game studio based in Ankara, creating top-performing titles that have surpassed 120 million downloads worldwide. We are looking for a Game Designer to join our team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Taking ownership of game design across one or more mobile game projects, from prototyping to global launch and live operations
Keeping track of market trends and coming up with game ideas that resonate with the ever-changing gaming audience
Designing compelling game mechanics using modern mobile design principles
Creating, balancing, and tuning game mechanics, game difficulty, and UI flow
Creating levels and additional content using Unity for new and existing games
Evolving and adapting game designs based on playtesting, feedback, and live metrics
Using player behavior, retention, monetization, and other live metrics to identify opportunities and make data-driven design decisions
Driving long-term player engagement by understanding mobile players’ needs and motivations
Working closely with developers, artists, product, growth, and live-ops teams to turn design concepts into high-quality player experiences
Taking ownership of the overall project, understanding the needs and priorities of design, art, and development, and proactively driving the team forward

Qualifications and Skills

3+ years of professional game design experience, preferably in mobile games
Experience working on at least one mobile game that has been launched and operated live
Strong understanding of mobile game design principles, player engagement, and game mechanics
Experience with game balancing, progression systems, economies, or monetization
Proficiency in Unity Game Engine
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to evaluate and improve game experiences
Ability to analyze existing games and identify opportunities for improvement
Strong project ownership and coordination skills, with the ability to understand the needs and priorities of different disciplines and drive the project forward
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong passion for inventing and improving game experiences
Enthusiasm for analyzing products and experimenting with ideas
